StarplotStarplot is a logic puzzle game for iOS. It needs no account, and we never receive your progress. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and this policy explains what that means for your data.
Your Progress
Your solved skies, times, and stars are saved on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Starplot also keeps a copy in your own iCloud account through Apple, so your progress carries over to your other devices and comes back if you reinstall the app. That copy is stored by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and we cannot see it.
We do not operate any servers that receive your data, and we do not use any analytics or crash reporting services. Deleting the app removes your progress from that device; the copy in iCloud stays with your Apple Account until you remove it there.
Advertising
The free version of Starplot shows a banner while you play, an occasional full-screen ad between puzzles, and a short video ad before each hint you ask for. These ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information from your device, such as its IP address, approximate location derived from that address, device and app details, and how you interact with ads.
With your permission, Google may also use your device's advertising identifier to show ads that are more relevant to you. Starplot asks for that permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, ads still appear, but they are not based on your activity in other apps and websites. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Where consent is required, Starplot asks for it through Google's consent message before any ads are requested, and offers a Privacy choices option in its settings so you can change your answer.
Google's use of this information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Purchases
Starplot Plus, an optional one-time purchase, is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. With Starplot Plus, Starplot shows no ads of any kind and requests none from Google.
Children's Privacy
Starplot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We collect no personal information from anyone ourselves.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date above.
